A microduct connection needs to stay secure during installation — and remain easy to inspect when you need to check it.
The FCST-ERPUB14 micro capping is available for 14mm microduct, and combines a push-in installation design with a crystal-clear transparent body, making installation quick and visual inspection easier. Its robust construction is designed to withstand high pressure and is suitable for direct-buried applications.
Key Benefits
1.Easy push-in installation — Connect the microduct quickly without complicated tools.
2.Crystal-clear body — Makes visual inspection of the cable and connection easier.
3.IP68 protection — Helps protect the connection against water and dust ingress.
4.20 bar working pressure — Suitable for pneumatic fiber blowing systems.
5.Locking components — Help prevent accidental removal after installation.
6.Direct-buried design — Robust construction for underground applications.
7.95% non-metal construction — Reduces the amount of metal used in the connector.
The FCST-ERPUB14 is designed for applications where HDPE microducts need to be securely terminated or closed.
Typical applications include:
1.Underground fiber optic networks
2.Direct-buried microduct systems
3.Fiber blowing installations
4.FTTH and FTTx infrastructure
5.Telecom conduit systems
6.Microduct construction and maintenance
It can be used with HDPE microducts in DB, DI and TW applications and with pneumatic fiber blowing systems.
Installation
1. Prepare the Microduct
Cut the microduct cleanly and make sure the end is free from dirt or deformation.
2. Push into the Connector
Insert the microduct into the microduct end stop connector until it reaches the required position.
3. Check the Connection
Make sure the microduct is fully inserted and the locking components are properly engaged.
